Welcome to the NSR Europe web site. Govert van Ginkel became a teacher/trainer and facilitator in NSR after having been convinced of it’s effectiveness. Govert practised law for 13 years and while doing so started to study yoga, The Bowen Technique, NLP NEI , and TFH. Eventually this brought him to studying NSR in Australia. While clearing emotional issues with NSR, he noticed that physical symptoms such as a milk intolerance, an allergy for cats, jet lag and flues all went away. Making a career change NSR became his passion. NSR is also known as ESSR, Emotional Somatic Stress Release.

NSR: A modality gathering extraordinary momentum

NSR is one of the most innovative healing modalities of today. So often, it appears, we recognize having the same negative outcomes in our lives and ask why does this always happen to me.

Your brain is like a computer.

NSR looks at your brain like a computer, once you click on an icon a program runs, and most people are unaware just how many of these programs are running every minute of their lives. In fact, our lives are mostly a series of "reacts" rather than "creates". A situation presents itself, say a child misbehaving, we click on the behaviour icon, change into our mother or father mode and immediately run our "react" program for that situation, and if we haven’t a program of our own we have access to our parent’s programs in our archives.

An example of how the mind works.

Just to show how the mind works. Have you noticed how your body anticipates a situation even if it is not there (yet). Imagine yourself biting in a juicy slice of lemon and think of those juices filling your mouth.

At this point the saliva has already begun to increase its flow in your mouth; Why? There’s no lemon there. "Why would your body produce saliva if your conscious mind knew that there is no lemon coming? ; YOUR MIND CANNOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN WHAT IS IMAGINED AND WHAT IS REAL". The same is true when you think of sitting in the dentists office and hearing that penetrating sound of the drill, not to even mention the fears and phobias activated by scary movies. Have you ever been a victim of road rage?" As I say this, your mind immediately flies to an occasion where you have experienced that. In that situation, didn’t your mind begin racing, what can I do, how can I protect myself. The whole experience plays itself out on the screen of your mind in milliseconds. NSR states that even if another incident occurs such as being cut off or experiencing any other similar action, you revisit that memory. This time it’s twice as bad, your mind’s filing system has stored all the past memories together with the emotional charge that accompanied the previous event.

This phenomenon not only takes up energy, but provides us with programs to trigger off, even when they would appear to be unrelated. So, when these similar situations occur we unleash the old and past stress as well as the energetic charge. Put enough of these charges together, we can go into anxiety and stress attacks, which can create physical problems such as high blood pressure and ulcers. These are the outcomes we can expect when the "filing system" is full. The body begins to react because the memories are not only stored in the mind but in the glands, organs, muscles and bones.

How we program our lives.

NSR’s favourite analogy: the computer. We write our own programs as we live our lives. We download new programs when we learn new things. Programs are often installed unwittingly, for instance when a relationship fails, or even our parents failed marriage, will lead to many sabotaging behaviours.

So what is the answer? How can we turn these negatives around? Often we hear the phrase that we are our own worst enemy. So we need to make peace with our minds, make our mind our friend if you like, and NSR is all about bringing that friendship concept into reality; a friend, that works with us and for us.

To do this we need to clean up the filing system, by sending the unwanted files, charges and programs into the "Recycle Bin". When you buy the latest version of Windows for your computer, you quickly adapt to the new technology. You clear out the files that are duplicated or slow and get your technology working up to full speed. Why then, wouldn’t we treat our most important technology, ourselves, with at least the same, but preferably more care, than we treat our computers. Is it any wonder that we get tired, sick and worn out when we continue to load ourselves up with new programs that we neither want, nor are beneficial to our existence. "It’s about time we began to spend time learning about the computer we call the mind".

It’s said that humans use up to 5% of our brain’s capacity. The subconscious has 95% control of our beings, which suggests it is of little wonder that we lose control of our emotions and behave in peculiar ways.

Running a program; glitches and viruses.

Back to the computer and the icons. When we click on the icon that runs a subconscious program, a series of reactions begin. Those reactions are physical, chemical, emotional and energetic. We lose or gain weight, we feel insecure and our self esteem seems to plummet, just to give a few examples. Some people will develop all kinds of health issues a doctor can’t explain. These examples demonstrate how powerful these programs are. To complicate things more we have modes such as the "father" mode, "mother" mode, "work" mode, "holiday" mode and so on, roles we play in our lives. Even more intricacies occur because the modes and roles often overlap or run concurrently. The result is emotional pea soup, or back to the computer, a screen freeze or system crash.

When I look at my life like a computer it all makes sense. There’s so much going on, it seems that my screen is full of icons and some seem to be triggered spontaneously. I wish others would stop triggering them, because I can’t sleep at night. I think I’ve got someone else’s files, as all these voices can’t be mine. “There’s so much to do with work, the kids, their sport, my parents and their illness; it’s like there is no more room in my in-box. My clients keep upping their demands, but my output is falling and I can’t focus. I think the print server is down or the document feeder is jammed. My energy is so low, I think I’ve got a virus, maybe it’s just a worm or my memory banks are full”.

"I know I can’t get a new computer (get another brain), so I need to know how to delete files, reprogram, and update the computer I’ve got. I need to clear some of the attachments and get rid of this baggage". We need to get the latest neuro software… NSR (Neuro Stress Release), puts the RAM back in the Hard Drive.

So what does NSR do?

NSR is a physical and conscious technique that allows you to release stress and charge from your mind in mere seconds. A method that you can use anywhere at any time to improve your clarity of thinking, to help you make better decisions, to let go of what doesn’t serve you and to feel much happier with your life. With NSR there’s no need to over analyze the issue or dredge up past hurtful memories. It’s more like the delete button of your computer. It’s a pain free technique that addresses emotional issues and it will address your health and well being as a result from solving these. It is Natural Safe and Reliable. NSR.
